* A cold front will move across the mid Atlantic tonight. The

...Coastal flood advisory in effect from midnight tonight to
10 am EST Wednesday...
The National Weather Service in Baltimore MD/Washington has
issued a coastal flood advisory...which is in effect from
midnight tonight to 10 am EST Wednesday.
Tides this afternoon are about a half foot above astronomical
predictions. This evening and tonight...tides are forecast to rise
to one to two feet above astronomical predictions on strong
southerly flow ahead of an approaching cold front. This could
cause minor tidal flooding for sensitive locations from Anne
Arundel County northward along the West Coast of the Chesapeake
Bay. When combined with the brief period of heavy rain
overnight...any flooding problems may be exacerbated. Tides are
expected to fall mid morning Wednesday behind the cold front.
Here are the times of the next high tides
for a few locations from north to south...
on the Chesapeake Bay...
Havre de Grace...7:46 PM and 7:38 am...
Bowley Bar...5:24 PM and 5:16 am...
Fort McHenry Baltimore...4:33 PM and 4:25 am...
Annapolis U.S. Naval Academy...3:03 PM and 2:55 am...
A coastal flood advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
